Abstract
The NIJ Data Resources Program ensures the preservation and availability of research and evaluation data collected with public funds. This directory describes all NIJ-sponsored data available as of October 1994. Each abstract provides information on the basic purpose and methodology of the original research, the unit of observation, the number of records, the number of variables, and geographic and temporal coverage of the research. Abstracts are organized alphabetically according to principal investigator. The document also lists current and future data collections, and includes indexes arranged by topic and principal investigator.
